Tips For Styling Coffee Table Books:
-
Try stacking a few books to add some variation to your living room.
-
Open the book to a page you particularly enjoy and let the page be the decor.
-
Add candles or plants on top of the books.
-
Use a tray to display the books on the table, versus sprawling them out.
-
Stack your books in threes.
-
Display the spine, the best design of the book is often on the spine, don’t underestimate it.
Tips For Creating A Gallery Wall:
A great way to style art prints is with the creation of a gallery wall. There are really no rules when creating a gallery wall, but here are some tips to keep in mind:
- Use different sized frames
- Position the smaller frames in the middle and work your way around them
- Map out exactly where you want the frames to go before hammering nails into the wall
- Use painters tape to measure the frames and create a blueprint on the wall
- Use different styles and colors of frames
Tips For Arranging Flowers:
- Keep it simple, don’t try and add too many different flowers to one arrangement
- If you don’t have a vase, wrap the flowers in brown parchment or newspaper, it’s way cuter than the plastic wrap that stores put on flowers
- Always add the flower food to your water before gifting the bouquet
- Don’t add a ton of water, and don’ get any leaves in the water, as the flowers won’t last as long that way
Tips for Maximalist Design:
-
Start with a lot of color. I mean, a lot.
-
Make a gallery wall. Fill your walls with as much art as possible.
-
Incorporate lots of busy prints and patterns.
-
Use wallpaper to cover blank wall space.
-
Add vintage pieces to your home, as well as modern. Maximalism is about utilizing everything.
